Dear Fellow Democrat:
The Vernon Township Democrats are kicking off this crucial
2012 election year in a big way. From
Precinct Committeeman to President, Democratic candidates will be fighting to
ensure that our party’s values will prevail over a Tea Party inspired Republican
onslaught. The Vernon Township Democrats will be at the center of that battle.
Over the last several years, the Vernon Dems have been a
major force in the ascendancy of the Democratic Party in Lake County.
Democratic candidates for federal, state and county offices now carry Vernon
Township on a regular basis. In 2009 for the first time in history, the Vernon
Dems ran a local slate of Democratic candidates for each and every Vernon
Township office. Our slate elected the first-ever Democratic township trustee,
while also coming close to winning several other township offices. In the 2010
primary election, the Vernon Dems general membership officially endorsed
Democratic candidates for numerous offices, including Governor, U.S. Senator
and U.S Congressman. In 2012 we will again be endorsing candidates running in
the Democratic primary for Congress, the state legislature and various Lake County
offices.
For the Vernon Dems to build on our many recent successes,
WE
ABSOLUTELY NEED
YOUR HELP. We need grassroots involvement
from volunteers for canvassing, phone banking, e-mailing and our
